Looking out to sea from Knoydart, you can see the Cuillin mountains rising sharply upwards on the Isle of Skye as well as the Inner Hebridean Isles of Rum, Eigg and Muck.
To the south of Knoydart, at the southern entrance to Loch Nibheis stands the fishing port village of Mallaig - the terminus of the West Highland Railway Line from Glasgow and also the departure point for the Caledonian MacBrayne ferries heading northwest to Skye.
The plan above shows where you can board the Knoydart Seabridge Ferry on the eastern side of Mallaig Harbour.
